How often should I have a prenatal visit?

Regular prenatal care is important for both the baby and the mother-to-be, allowing for identifying medical problems and providing patients with the information needed to stay healthy throughout pregnancy and delivery. Typically, women have a prenatal exam every month until the 28th week of pregnancy, then every other week until week 36, at which point visits occur weekly until delivery.
